one of these days. thank you Jesus for tea and quiet and a forced break from the fast pace of the ordinary.
I really love september
I love it because it comes before october, which comes before november, which comes before december.
and oh my goodness, you know what december means?
CHRISTMAS.
having everything
but possessing nothing.
‘Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of
Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there.’
A. W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

I suppose that it’s about time I started one of these.
hopefully you’ll be uplifted, or challenged, or opened up in some new way. dreams and thoughts and ponderings that are bigger than ourselves tend to do that.
so, be transformed, be broken, and above all, be blessed.
“In effect, Jesus [has] said: Hope your wildest hopes, dream your maddest dreams, imagine your most fantastic fantasies. Where your hopes and your dreams and your imagination leave off, the love of My heavenly Father only begins. For ‘eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him’ (I Cor 2:9 KJV).”
